Celanese's (CE) latest price increase is incremental to any previously announced hikes.

Celanese Corp. shares were flat in after-hours trading Monday after the technology and specialty materials company reported fiscal first-quarter revenue and net income that fell far short of Wall Street estimates. Celanese reported net income of $218 million, or $1.82 a share. Revenue, meanwhile, tumbled to $1.46 billion from $1.69 billion a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected net income of $2.25 a share on sales of $1.54 billion. Celanese shares are down 23% in the last year. The broader S&P 500 index is down 2.2% in the last year.
