Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") downgraded Lonestar Resources America Inc. (Lonestar) Corporate Family Rating (CFR) to Caa3 from Caa1, Probability of Default Rating (PDR) to Caa3-PD from Caa1-PD, and senior unsecured notes to Ca from Caa2. The Speculative Grade Liquidity (SGL) rating was downgraded to SGL-4 from SGL-3. "The downgrade of Lonestar Resources' ratings reflects Moody's concerns over the company's weak liquidity position, the decline in demand for oil & gas and low commodity prices," stated James Wilkins, Moody's Senior Analyst.
At a time when oil prices have declined sharply over coronavirus-led concerns, it also represents an opportunity to make a killing by acquiring good stocks at today's depressed prices.
