Mr. Schemm succeeds Bryan H. Fairbanks, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who will assume the position of President and Chief Executive Officer on April 29, 2020. On that date, James E. Cline will move to Chairman of the Board of Directors from his current position as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Trex stock was up 7.1% as of 10:13 a.m. EDT. Overall sales in the quarter rose 12% to $200.4 million, ahead of estimates of $197.8 million as the company benefited from margin expansion due to production improvements and expense control.
